Last Tuesday night, we bundled up and headed to Zoo Lights at the Calgary Zoo. We chose to go this night because it was the warmest night in the forecast before Christmas. And we figured that the crowds would be sparse on a Tuesday night. And we were right. We got rockstar parking and dealt with NO crowds while looking at all the great light displays.

Walking through thsi was actually damaging to my eyes I am sure!

These lights and the display across from it was synchronized to music. It was awesome. Penelope was entranced the entire time.
My favorite dinosaur lit up in my favorite colour – it doesn’t get much better than that!!!
This was the first time we went on a weeknight instead of weekend. And I am so glad we did. The kids enjoyed it a lot more because you don’t have to wait to get close to a display and it was easy to manoeuvre. We are big fans of the Zoo and the Zoo lights so we encourage everybody to take it in even if you have already – especially if you have young kids like us. They loved it!!
