Last Sunday, Greg, myself and the girls had our little Christmas. We always do our Christmas before heading back to Sk because there is no point in hauling it all there and then hauling it all back plus all the gifts they get from other family. It works out nicely for all of us.
The night before we left out eggnog and cookies and some fruit for Santa. The plate is from my friend Lisa who works for Uppercase Living. This plate is amazing and I am so glad we got one!
Penelope’s Santa gifts
Finley’s gifts from Santa
FInley excited to be waking up to all the new things
After opening the Santa gifts, we all got dressed and headed to IHOP for breakfast. OMG is that place crazy busy. We got their at 915 and there was a 45 minute wait and we left at 1030 the wait was up to an hour. The food wasn’t great and it made both Greg and I sick. This wasn’t much of a surprise since it happens when we eat there in the states too!
The rest of the day was spent playing with their new toys and doing some crafts.
Our traditional Christmas supper is always a seafood feast. Here is Greg putting clams on Finley’s plate.
A bowl of clams
Finley eating the clams. She is a much braver girl then I am. I won’t touch them with a 10 foot pole!!
Finley was far more intrigued with the candy cane then her clams
Next was bacon wrapped scallops – which are favorites of mine
Finley ate the scallops but picked off the bacon. Both kids don’t like bacon
Crab thingys from Joe’s Crab Shack in Portland :)
A mixture of Alaskan King Crab and Snow Crab. It was absolutely heavenly.
After supper it was time to go open presents from us and their aunt and uncle
Needless to say, our kids are spoiled and we are mostly to blame for this!!!!
We capped off our great Christmas day with a homemade warm chocolate brownie and some christmas programming. One down and 5 more CHristmas’ to go!!!!
