We woke up on Monday morning to rain. RAIN!! Lahaina only gets 13inches of rain per year so of course it has to rain when we were here.
We had fresh coconut for breakfast. We found it at a roadside fruit stand for $1. We were both disappointed about how not coconutty it tasted. It was a great disappointment
It was coming down like crazy when we tried to get to our car
Greg and the girls drove out to the Iao Valley for the morning. I took Penelope’s photo while we waited for Finley and Greg in the bathroom
Looks like more rain. It actually quit raining right after we ran back to the car to get our rain jackets…
The Iao Valley Needle. ‘Iao Valley is the site of one of the most famous and bloody battles that changed Hawaii history forever. On this site, In 1790, King Kamehameha I destroyed the Maui army in his effort to unite the Hawaiian Islands.
Me with my girls
After lunch at Ruby’s Diner, we headed back to Lahaina and headed to Baby Beach for a quick dip at the beach before the Luau that night.
Greg and the girls heading for the water despite not being very warm at all!!
They wanted to bury Greg’s feet
We only ended up staying at Baby Beach for just over an hour. It was cloudy and really cold when the wind picked up and sun went away. We went back to the condo and walked down Front Street where we bought new dresses for the Luau that night
